As many of you already may noticed, this project is not longer maintained. I'm one of the developers that initially coded this module, but I have other priorities right now.
Two years ago I started a new version of this module that in my opinion is much faster than the current implementation. I didn't have the chance to finish it, but it is 70% completed. I committed the code to the 7.x-3.x branch http://cgit.drupalcode.org/configuration/commit/?id=c53aa50
If you want to continue maintaining this module, please send me a private message using my drupal.org contact form. I will try to coordinate with the previous maintainers and define who will be the new maintainer.

I wanted to offer my support in helping develop, co-maintain and manage stable releases of "Configuration Management" module for Drupal 8/9. It would be useful to clear through the issues and make the necessary improvements and create a stable Drupal 9 release. Thank you in advance.

dagmar@ilchovuchkov Thanks for your offer. But this module won't be ported to D8/D9. We have configuration management in core already.
