Hello,
we are thinking about real published date for Views filter.
We need option to sort articles by publish date and here is missing. After Scheduler job his date are deleted and we don't have option to sorting. I was talk about this issue with guys in Czech community and they always fix by custom field with javascript or `hook_node_update` preprocess. I think that this field should by in module by default. What you think?
Thank you for your time and hope, that we find some official way about this.
We are really happy for add this to 7.x too :-)
Michal

Have you seen the Scheduler config option 'change content creation time'
With this option enabled, after a node has been published by Scheduler the creation date will be changed to that publish-on date, which is saved. Then in Views you can use 'content creation date' and newly published nodes will be at the top of the view when sorted.
