Brightcove media support

The brightcove media module is now part of the brightcove project, and it will be released as 7.x-6.5. Please test the dev version and report issues if you find any.

As Tamas mentioned, we have integrated brightcove_media into brightcove-7.x-6.x-dev and are planning to release it in 7.x-6.5 soon.

Please conduct any testing in non-production environments only for now, and let us know your results here.

When are we planning to release 7.x-6.5 version of Brightcove module? It is said that the API that we have been using for 7.x-5.x will be closing from 1st of June 2017.

When I say the API i mean videocloud.brightcove.com version of Brightcove.

I'm waiting for feedback on the upgrade from 7.x-5.x (with media) to 7.x-6.x-dev before releasing 7.x-6.5 - so please feel free to test that yourself in a non-production environment and let me know the results!

Regarding the deprecation of Media API, I'm not sure where you found the June 01, 2017 timeline because Brightcove's Changes to the Video Cloud Service page says that the Media API will continue to be available until June 30, 2017:

we will be retiring the write methods exposed by the Media API (e.g., update_video) and all customers and partners will need to migrate their applications to the CMS API prior to June 30, 2017
