I try to render the result from the search api solr request in DS. The most work as expected thru views.
The main problem is now how do I get the excerpt into a custom dsfield?
Are there any suggestions or hints?

As this is more a search api question than a DS question I suggest asking it on https://drupal.stackexchange.com/
There you get faster and better response on that type of questions.

This is hard to expose as a DS field, so leaving as is for now.
