restful api for imagecache actions?

Hi - just curious if anyone had set up a restful api for imagecache - i'm imagining something like

http://www.makeanimage.com/?http://the-image-i-want-tweaked?the-imagecac...

is this something anyone else has already done / is there a recipe for it?
