thanks for that module it saves me.
I just used it with Backdrop CMS. For that I make little changes to make compatible with Backdrop.
Current maintainers, are you interested in supporting a Backdrop CMS version? Or porting it to Backcrop? Anyway I will do a new branch for that module, because it can be useful for other people devolping in backdrop.

davidburnsDidn't take much to create the port here's a zipped file. I'll be adding this to backdrop.org when I figure out how to submit modules.

@Quicksketch completed the port of the Menu Attributes module during a Backdrop CMS training workshop at Twin Cities Drupal camp in June of 2018. The corresponding Backdrop issue for this port is located here: https://github.com/backdrop-ops/contrib/issues/269 and the module should be available shortly in the Backdrop contrib repo.
