I installed comment notify.
I configure it.
And I have realize a test with posting a response.
But I don't receive mail notification. identical problem for a new content.

It seems there are a whole bunch of bugs in the module and someone needs to work on it. I suggest reviewing some of the patches, see if maybe some of them help make the module work correctly for you.
