the "Pencil" edit button works for Blocks and Views, but when i click to edit an article, basic page or other content type, nothing happens. No dropdown with options.

I notice that when i click on the ones that work, the div class changes from "contextual" to "contextual open" and the button class changes from aria-pressed false to true.

I checked permissions for all of the content types and everything seems correct.

This all happens when logged in as admin. My content types don't show for Anonymous users, so i haven't tested like that.

Is there a reason for this behavior? I need to have editable articles for sure... Thank you,

I have same issue , but in my case aria pressed doesn't change to true but stays in false.
