Hi All,
New Drupal user here, just installed this afternoon and am loving it!
I'm curious as to changing the behaviour of how content is displayed on the homepage. I'm sure this is easy in PHP but I am new to both it and Drupal!
I'd like to list each type of content together, so the page would list the last, say 2 blogs, then stories, then user blogs, so on and so forth.
I assume this would be done in the theme I am using, but again I am not too clued in on the parameters I need to try here.
Thanks in advance!
Geoffrey

One idea that I suppose could work is here:
http://drupal.org/node/view/848
The author mentions re-writing the theme to group items together. Sadly, the code did not work for me. Has anyone been able to get this type of functionality to work? Basically, I am trying to accomplish the same thing. ie
New Blogs:
foo
New Stories:
foo
New Events:
foo
Any ideas?
Geoffrey
Look at the summary module
The version in CVS currently handles story, book, and image nodes. Looking at it, it would be fairly simple to expand it to handle other node types.
Note: the version in CVS also has some other issues. I've done some work on it, but it needs more.
