Search API incompatibility - Fatal Error when calculating column Sum

Currently it appears the Search API module is not compatible with Views Calc. When attempting to view the views page with a column set to calculate the SUM, the following fatal error is shown:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method SearchApiViewsQuery::add_field() in /var/aegir/platforms/panopoly-7.x-1.40/sites/SITE/modules/views_calc/views_calc_table.inc on line 246
