I suddenly am missing the ability to create a group from the site/admin/group/add page. I have created a few more group types, and I am immediately able to create new groups of those types, but the one i need is still missing. I can, however, create a group by typing the route site/admin/group/add/[group-type-name] with no problem. My permissions page (admin/people/permissions) says I should be able to create groups of this type, but as I'm fiddling with the options for other groups, unallowing creation of groups doesn't seem to have any affect on the ability to create one. I have rebuilt permissions and cleared my chaches.
While I don't see it having any immediately effect, I still am concerned for the future of my project, if this is a bug.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there another permission I'm unaware of?

We thank everyone for their collaboration on this issue, but as the D7 version is no longer supported, we will now close all D7 issues to keep the issue queue a bit tidier. This information won't go anywhere, it just won't show up on the list of open issues anymore.
