Problem/Motivation

After Drupal 8.3.0-beta1 was released my site failed to work with DS 8.x-2.x so I had to switch to 8.x-3.x.

Proposed resolution

Is it possible to create an alpha1 release for 8.x-3.x branch? Thank you.

Euh yes, not ok yet :)

Patch for that is at #2860816: Create update hook to uninstall layout_plugin and install layout_discovery
