Backdrop port

Thank you for all your work on this module. Over the years, I’ve used it in a number of Drupal sites. Recently, I had need for it in a Backdrop project, so I ported the 7.x-3.1 version.

I ported it because I needed it, and I will do my best to keep it up to date, but I’d be all too happy for you to continue maintaining the Backdrop port, or co-maintain, if your bandwidth is limited.
