Hi! I am a very new on Drupal. After reading some reviews, I decided to use drupal for my new online store site. Could anyone here suggest me how to start it? What are good themes, plugins, etc for online store site using Drupal? Thank you!

For Drupal, you have 2 choices of shopping carts:

https://drupalcommerce.org/
http://www.ubercart.org/

The latter is the easiest to use but probably not as flexible as DrupalCommerce. However, what is your requirements? because it might even be possible to just use https://woocommerce.com/ if your site doesn't require anything very complex.

Please note, Drupal 8 still lacks in this area so you should stick with Drupal 7 for ecommerce.

Hi Duvien,

Thank you for your suggestions. I would like to sell electronic gadgets that the market is covering some cities in my country only. I would like to have a shipping cost breakdown based on the delivery destination, product weight, and the logistic services used. Does Drupal support those features?

All 3 shopping carts i have mentioned will fit your requirements.

The question now is how comfortable you'll feel working with them.

If you are new to Drupal, you're gonna have to learn Drupal first and understand how it works so you know how DrupalCommerce or Ubercart fits in to the overall system. Then learn building out the shopping cart.

If this is too much, then perhaps WooCommerce might be a better choice as i believe it's quicker to develop with.

There is even Shopify which will speed up building out a store. However, if you want to add blogs or articles, Shopify is very basic in this regards, plus they charge a monthly fee.

Does Drupal support those features?

Not out of the box. You will need many available contrib modules to build out these functionality and features for the shopping cart.
