The suggested patch (in this ticket https://www.drupal.org/node/1116408#comment-6040494 ) to fix the redirection doesn't work at all. The checkbox to enable the redirection appears but after saving the configuration and migrate, the redirect value doesn't appear.
I added a patch (based on the suggested redirect solution) to force to create a redirect for the new content. Redirect source: wordpress url, redirect destination: node/[nid]
