As part of Phase 1 of the Project Application Process revamp we'll be adding a security team support field to projects. Because security advisory coverage is becoming an opt-in process, decoupled from full projects/releases, this field will be used to indicate whether a project receives security advisory coverage. The initial change is to create the field, but we will also be updating all existing covered projects to be labeled as covered, and adding messaging to project pages which are not covered. Ultimately this information will be provided through the updates system so coverage status can be displayed on Drupal sites' update status page.
