HI,
I'm really enjoying this Drupal 8 distribution, and excited to see it progress. This is probably more of a Support issue than anything else, but being on the US West Coast having a hard time staying up to chat on IRC.
Anyway, I would like to be able to add additional content types to the plus icon dropdown in the AccountHeaderBlock. I have been able to do this by directly editing the code for the Plugin in profiles/contrib/social/modules/social_features/social_user/src/Plugin/Block/AccountHeaderBlock.php but I don't think this is correct way to deal with this. I have a fair amount of Drupal and PHP experience, but I'm just learning Drupal 8 module development and I'm not sure if its possible to create a custom module which will override the plugin or if there is some other way to do this.
I'd be more than happy to contribute to this project, but I need some help understanding your workflow and conventions.
