Drag and Drop Doesn't Support the Entity Connect Add Button

Steps to Reproduce

• On the content field page (e.g. admin/structure/types/manage/node-type/fields), find an entity reference field that already supports the entity connect add button and not currently a drag and drop, and change the widget to drag and drop.
• Navigate to a node edit page for the applicable content type, locate the field, and click on the add button (or icon if enabled).

Expected Behavior

Clicking on the add icon should navigate the user to the edit page for the specified entity.

Actual Behavior

Clicking on the add icon doesn't do anything.
