After removing a file from a file field and deleting it in the file system it is still shown in the autocomplete search. This is especially bothering if you upload the file again, then you see both versions and don't know before selecting which is the existing file.

This makes no sense to me.

If the files are removed used the normal drupal GUI then the DB entity should also be removed.

I guess you are doing something wrong when deleting the files.

You are really fast with closing issues, maybe you should wait for an answer before.

If you remove the file through the GUI it is still physically existent, so I have to delete it also directly in the file system.
