Hello and thanks for this module
Problem/Motivation
I have been using it for Spanish addresses and ... always hiding the address2 because I didn't understand the need. Today I read @donquixote in https://www.drupal.org/node/1337656#comment-10790392 and I understand the sense. As the issue cue reflects, many other have this misunderstanding ask to remove Address 2.
Proposed resolution
I think it Address 1 should be changed to Street and Address 2 to Number. As I say in a comment down, in Anglo-Saxon countries the number goes before the street, and in Spaniards the opposite. So you will need to make change the position as you make with postal code depending the country.
While then, people can use the module https://www.drupal.org/project/stringoverrides to solve that.
Thanks, this module is really useful (and complicated with so many country variations) :)

I propose you to make as in postal code and change the location depending the country.
I hope my proposal is good for you and no more people asking for Address 2 in your issue cue :)))
