Hello guys,

I have a sandbox project (Drupal 8 module) which has been recently reviewed and the status is "Reviewed & tested by the community".
Is there something else I should do now to promote it to a full project?

I apologize for my lack of knowledge, I am quite new to this.

Thanks for any help.
Filip

Dude, I wouldn't post my question if I didn't try to find and apply all possible documentation that can be found first. So I'll be more concrete:

1) Regarding your first link, I don't see a "Promote" link in my project Edit page. So I suppose that the condition "You can promote a sandbox project to a full project once given proper permissions" is not met yet. That's why I ask, is there anything else I should do or should I just wait and be patient?

2) As I said, my project is in "Reviewed & tested by the community" status, which means that I am currently stuck somewhere between the point 7 and 8 of your second link page. I believe the problem is in "Once given the sign off, you will be granted permissions both to create full projects and to promote your sandbox projects to full projects" line. The question is the same - should I patiently wait or am I expected to do anything else now?

This is the issue page: https://www.drupal.org/node/2835867
And the project page: https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/memsource/2832348

Thanks,
Filip

*not sure what makes you think I'm a male but I'll play along*

Dude, I can't possibly know what you've read and what you haven't when you don't take the time to provide those details. If you believe you've followed the protocols as outlined then I suggest commenting on your project application which you also didn't take the time to link in your opening post.

Reviewing the project application, I don't see any links to other applications you've reviewed. Thus no review bonus to promote your own project. So either you haven't and therefore aren't receiving priority status per #7 or you've not linked them for the next reviewer to consider marking as a priority status. Else as stated in docs it could take a year to fully review and promote to full status and you're only at 13 days (at time of this comment) per your project application.

Reviewed by community isn't the 'sign off' mentioned in the docs. Also of note the account that marked 'reviewed and tested by the community' is an account that is two days old. A review of that users tracker indicates the account was created solely for the purpose or marking the issue at hand as there isn't any other activity for the user.

That said, looks to me like you're still working on #7 rather than stuck between 7 and 8. Perhaps an instance where the documentation that was claimed to be read wasn't read closely enough ? :)

Thanks for your response. But I've heard that the Drupal community is helpful and friendly, so why the sarcasm? I've just asked a question because the documentation is often vague, incomplete or outdated. And sometimes overcomplicated, to say the least.

Very well, I understand that the condition "review some other applications first" is more like mandatory, not optional, otherwise I could wait up to a year to get reviewed myself. Am I right? OK, I'll try to do it this way. That's all I was asking about.

I don't see any sarcasm but if you must question the tone of my comments to you, I suggested rereading your comment to me when I tried offering some documentation to help point you in the right direction. The moral of the story is likely for you to avoid biting the hands that are trying to feed you.
