Could honeypot work with the forward module? I could not find any forward form under honeypot configuration? In this case, can I enable the 'Protect all forms with Honeypot' to make it work?

@wtchan - thanks for submitting an issue! At this time, there is no direct integration between honeypot and forward. For most contrib modules, I don't want to add integration within the Honeypot module itself. Rather, you could create a module like honeypot_forward to add the integration using Honeypot's API, or you may petition the forward module's maintainers to support an integration with Honeypot (much the same way the Webform module does it).
