I spent a few hours yesterday playing with the latest install of Lightning (8.x-1.13) - it was my first time checking out the 8.x version. I installed it using Composer (I love the fact that it creates a separate /docroot!)
I focused a bunch of my time playing with the Workspaces and trying to add content in the default "Stage" workspace and push it to the default "Live" workspace.
While in the "Stage" workspace, I noticed that the "Update" button pulled content in from the "Live" workspace, but I couldn't figure out how to do the reverse (push content from "Stage" to "Live"). I expected a similar button in the "Live" workspace, but there wasn't any.
I poked around the workspace configurations, but didn't see any obvious solutions.
It wasn't until I spoke with @phenaproxima that he clued me in that the way to do it was to change the "Moderation state" of the "Stage" workspace to "(lock icon) Published". I had noticed this option previously, but the lock icon made it seem like I shouldn't select this option.
I think a little bit of help text on the "Moderation state" select box will go a long way here. Obviously, some actual documentation will help as well, but I think a great first step would be some help text - I think that would have been enough to give me the clue I needed to figure it out on my own.
thanks,
-mike

balsamaTotally agree. If someone wants to suggest where (exactly) and what (exactly) the help text should be, I can try to get it in before tomorrow's release. Otherwise, I'd like to get our internal UX teams opinion so we don't end up changing this several times.
Thanks for bringing this up.
/me of _course_ you publish the stage workspace to trigger an upstream replication. Duh!
