I'd like to be able to embed a YouTube video, along with the Comments from YouTube if it is possible so that people can also see the comment and response on the same page, not only showing the video alone. May be a checkbox to turn on the feature would be cool.

Sounds like a good contrib module as I believe this fits into the 20% use-case, not the 80. I'd be happy to review or provide guidance for any projects which attempted to add this.
