This project VERTA (Views Entity Reference Tokens as Arguments) allows to use arguments as Tokens in Entity Reference Views.
Currently, entity references views arguments transmitted to the view are static, there is no transmitted context of the current edited entity.

On the project page, i've described the module, what it does, the use cases, and how to install.

The code is very short.

I haven't found similar issues for Drupal 8, only this core patch https://www.drupal.org/node/1699378 wich terminates with a dead-end beacause context entity is not transmitted anymore into the ViewSelect class.

And another path exist for views, but only with drupal 7.
