Views Calendar and attachment not working

I have created a view block displaying a month calendar with classes. I have then added a views attachment which should only display classes listed for the month being displayed on the views month calendar which it is doing. However when I go to the next month on the calendar where there are no classes listed on the calendar I still see classes from the views attachment listed below the views month calendar block why?
