Hello everyone, thanks for the good work.
I would like to know how to modify/customize the APPS feature found in Openlucius. I realised that the default apps are a result of content types (i.e tasks, book, messages..etc). But what i dont understand is how they are pulled into the group content type and displayed within the group during group creation.

Anyways been looking at the openlucius distro critically, and realized some of the features are built off the features module and my thinking for creating these custom apps in the app configuration panel. One may have to create their own module that takes advantage of the hooks within the "openlucius_core".. the Openlucius guys were so kind to make that available.

However for non or less experienced coders like me, we would appreciate if their is a simpler approach.

Any thoughts anyone.

Hi All,

Thanks for the info, we indeed build some hooks so devs can plugin and create their own apps.

To make OpenLucius more approachable for devs, we'd love to work on the 'Apps' architecture:
so developers can more easily create their own apps.

Unfortunately we don't have time/budget for that right now, but it's certainly high in our backlog.

I'll keep you posted in this issue when relevant.

Thanks for your response any luck with that architecture you talked about. Currently am using openlucius to build a IFM tool (Intergrated Facility Management Tool), and at the beginning it all looked promising, we are just in need of some serious customizations. And so far its not been that easy

Thanks for your info, unfortunately we have no insight in when this will start. Still because of budgets and time, sorry :(
But maybe, in the meantime, could you elaborate on your your issue: what would be the number 1 use case on your wish list?

Hi Joris,

My number one issue, is how to simply and easily add my custom content within openlucius. Such that they are displayed just like the default apps within a given group.

I have been able to build the content types, with all relevant fields. But how to link/integrate this within a group is still a challenge.

It would create a content type, and view and integrate with the Group

7.x is not supported anymore. OpenLucius 2.0 (Drupal 9) is now actively maintained.
So I'm closing this 7.x ticket.
