Translated meta tags get populated on the original language [#2825963]

Wonderful module, loving it.
Though I've found myself in a bit of a pickle and need assistance.

My site has two languages, Swedish (default) and English. I've set up Metatags (both Open Graph and Twitter Cards) to use one field for Description for the Swedish language and when I do a translation and choose a different field for the English Description that value gets saved for the Swedish field as well, it "populates back".

I've tried this many times for both Open Graph and Twitter Cards, and get the same result.

I found this and tried, but it didn't solve anything (https://www.drupal.org/node/2568617).

Anyone else who has encountered this problem? Any ideas?
