Hello all!

Just hoping someone can point me in the direction of implementing Twitter style hashtags in the WYSIWYG editor.

It would autocomplete them and allow people to search based on them. Is there a module to do this?

Thanks!

I'd add a field and use taxonomy or a text field to deal with this.

But I want the hashtags to act like they do in Twitter. It's a user interaction feature, such that as people are typing their message they can use the hashtags.

Unless I totally misunderstand your suggestion.

then you will need to write your own module.

using a separate taxonomy field would produce the lists you seek.

If you don't know the answer, you shouldn't bother posting.

NO! there is no module already available that does this. Thus, you either write your own, or find a workaround. That IS an answer.

as this will need to integrate with ckeditor you'll also need to work with an already existing ckeditor plugin (or also write your own). http://ckeditor.com/addons/plugins/all

That said, with your attitude toward me for trying to help, now that I've found a more specific answer to your query, I'll refrain from providing it. If you know how to utilize google, you should be able to locate on your own. best of luck.

You have responded to a number of issues recently with vague answers usually amounting to "search for the answer yourself on Google" instead of actually providing direct links, answers, or information. I feel that is all you ever have to offer. Best of luck.

I won't apologize for not doing all of your work you or anyone else's work for them. "give a man a fish feed him for a day, teach a man to fish feed him for a lifetime."

A review of your tracker indicates that over 7+ years of being a registered community member, you've taken more than you've given to the forums and issue queues. Thus even if 90% of my responses are vague, or telling someone to google because I have and located an answer on the first page of results, I've provided far more than you have to those on drupal.org.

If you don't like the way I respond, you have the option to ignore me. Exerting control over yourself would be far more fruitful than attempting to exert non-existent control over where, or how I respond or post in general.

Most everyone knows how to use search functions and what they are looking for, me certainly among them. They come to these forums looking for people to share their experiences and what has worked for them. Your "teach a man to fish" bs doesn't work when people have looked for solutions but still need answers.

As to my "tracker" you have no idea what I have done or who I have helped along the way. Nor do you know how many times I've actually given answers to people for code, module, or implementation solutions.

As for your advice about responding, take it yourself. If you ever see a post from me again just walk away and post nothing.

And quit being a total d-bag.

I specified 'FORUMS'. The hypocrisy you exude is interesting in that you feel you can judge by someone else's posts but when the tables are turned you don't like it. I prefer my character flaw/s over the one you've exposed here.

And again with the attempt to control to whom I respond. Odd. Dictator much?

Funny that you mention d-bag. I thought that's what the first letter in your username stood for ; )

Yeah, you don't know what you're talking about so...

bye bye.

uh huh. But like every dictator YOU do of course.

I show respect for my dictator with a single finger salute ;)
