The thank you page uses filter_xss on the string provided on the admin interface. That takes away all <br> tags.

To create a nicer looking page, I added some allowed tags in the page callback.

In the $default_thank_you_message I replaced the \n with <br>

The dev version does not show the "thank you page" at the moment. Just for my own reference I upload a patch here to remove the comment from the drupal_goto.
