I think an awesome addition to this would be to have an option to view galleries with PicLens. I've seen it done on a different gallery for a different cms, but I'd love to see it work on here. =]
I have had several ideas for slideshows, actually, but they somehow did not fit the BG frame, figuratively (and literally!) speaking.
I mean -- say you've got a little galley like the one in the right column here: http://www.vacilando.eu/drupal -- where would we add the slideshow button? Is it desirable, given that the table will shift as a consequence? How to position the button so that it fits all users?
Any ideas are welcome. When they crystallize, I'll build in the functionality based on the best proposals.
Btw, note that Lightbox2 has a nifty slideshow as well - I am applying that one to BG (will be out in a week or two) as it does not require any button. To have a sneak peek, click on any of the tiny images at the top rim of the above link, the image will zoom up, then wait to see it changing. Is PicLens that much better?
