Just installed vanilla Drupal 8.1.10 (under CentOS 6, Apache 2.2, PHP 5.6, MySQL/Percona 5.6).
Created some Taxonomy terms (in Tags dictionary).
Adding an Article content page, when I try to fill in the "Tags" field with one of the taxonomy terms just created, the autocomplete doesn't work (no terms are displayed).
Same problem in other autocomplete cases (e.g. creating a view and trying to fiil in the "tagged with" field in "Views settings").

We need to see your browser console error log and any errors in watchdog and the web server error log.

After a more deep analysis of all the components of our network infrastructure, we discovered a diabolic enterprise firewall rule wich dropped the ajax calls for the autocomplete function. Disabling that rule solved completely our problems. The interesting thing is that the firewall (a Checkpoint appliance) rule was activated exactly to prevent some Drupal 7 security vulnerabilty!
Sorry for the incovenience.

Thanks,
Mauro

Title: Autocomplete taxonomy terms not working » Checkpoint firewall can break autocomplete of taxonomy terms

In order to help others, could you post the rule name or ID, or whatever checkpoint calls it? Perhaps edit the title too.
