Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Just installed vanilla Drupal 8.1.10 (under CentOS 6, Apache 2.2, PHP 5.6, MySQL/Percona 5.6).
Created some Taxonomy terms (in Tags dictionary).
Adding an Article content page, when I try to fill in the "Tags" field with one of the taxonomy terms just created, the autocomplete doesn't work (no terms are displayed).
Same problem in other autocomplete cases (e.g. creating a view and trying to fiil in the "tagged with" field in "Views settings").

minnoce CreditAttribution: minnoce commentedAfter a more deep analysis of all the components of our network infrastructure, we discovered a diabolic enterprise firewall rule wich dropped the ajax calls for the autocomplete function. Disabling that rule solved completely our problems. The interesting thing is that the firewall (a Checkpoint appliance) rule was activated exactly to prevent some Drupal 7 security vulnerabilty!
Sorry for the incovenience.
Thanks,
Mauro
