I'm wondering if this is by design or a bug in the mailchimp module? I can't have two entityforms using a mailchimp field that send to the same list.

Reusing an existing mailchimp field for an additional entity form subscription, data is not sent to mail chimp.

Creating a new mailchimp field, does not give me the option of a list already used by another mailchimp field?

I would be grateful if anyone can shed some light on this

We’re in maintenance-mode for the Drupal 7 releases of Mailchimp, so only bug fixes can be committed going forward. Any new features should be developed for the Drupal 8 releases of Mailchimp. Thanks!
