I am trying to set up a D7 site where a user is granted membership in a group when they complete payment for a certain product type using Commerce. The product type contains an entity reference to the group they are paying to join.

I am struggling with setting this up and I am not finding anything in the code or existing issues to help me. Do you have any suggestions for getting started with selling Group memberships? Is it a matter of creating some custom rule components?

Sadly, I did not and am no longer working the project that used Group.

We thank everyone for their collaboration on this issue, but as the D7 version is no longer supported, we will now close all D7 issues to keep the issue queue a bit tidier. This information won't go anywhere, it just won't show up on the list of open issues anymore.
