When updating a question of an existing quiz, you can select one of these three options to finish that process:
1. Update (no revision)
2. Create new revision
3. Do nothing

It looks like the option #2 is the best to choose to avoid impacting the results of the quiz, in the help text it is said:
"If the current revision of a Quiz has been answered, you should make a new revision to ensure that existing answer statistics and reports remain correct. If the new revision of the question only corrects spelling errors, you do not need to create a new revision of the Quiz."

However, no matter what option is chosen, you will end having your report of results affected, with all the answers to the changed question missing.

Ideally, if you update a question to fix a typo or simply to change the wording and make it clearer, the report to export the results of the quiz should contain the answers given to the previous version of that question.

Hi,

Thanks for your report. Creating a new revision of the quiz/question will impact the results. But, the "Do nothing" option should have maintained results so that the Quiz uses the old question.

I'll have to investigate this one.
