Hello experts, I want to build a media library that attached to each node. The media library may contains user uploaded images or user input link of video from other site. So the user has two methods to add data to the libray, 1. upload image file
2. paste link of video
And I want to show this library without difference between image and video. So is the media module right for this task? TIA.

If I understand this correctly you want to create a gallery where the image for either videos and images all look the same. You would do this in the Manage File Display settings under Structure > File Types > Type ( Image, Video etc.). In 'Image', for example, you would go to the 'Default' setting, click on the 'Image' to enable the display and then under 'Display settings' select an Image Style that best suits your gallery. Likewise in Video you would go to the 'Default' setting, enable the 'YouTube Preview Image' setting and in the Display Settings select the same Image Style.

Thanks. Is the embedded video limited to youtube? What about the text video link from other site?
