recent stuff is actually the front page of each user login in
the post are ordered by POST date which is not something that we find convinient

I wish there was a way to make this configurable
best sorting at least for our use case would be "Sorting by Activity date - last commented or updated date"

I believe the way it is right now the updated get burried very far from the top on the activity stream even thought they might have a new comment or an update

I believe there should be an configurable option to sort all relevant views based on POST DATE / UPDATED or Commented date

if it can be done already please describe
I believe the recent stuff is based on https://www.drupal.org/project/heartbeat
but I can't seem to understand where the sorting is configured

Hello GiorgosK,

The stream is ordered by last created content. Newly posted content such as
messages but also comments appear at the top. Updated items will not be
included as 'new'.

Thank you for your feedback, we'll put it on our backlog for a future release.

Regards,
Erik de Kamps

here is a view I ended up using since a lot of things were escaping people's attention with the recent nodes on front page

this view sorts everything by recently updatde content (created or commented date) and also give the last comment of the view, gives you avatar of group and a few other things that we thought were helpful for the front page

so if anybody is interested or you want to incorporate this as an alternative front page feel free to do so

7.x is not supported anymore. OpenLucius 2.0 (Drupal 9) is now actively maintained.
So I'm closing this 7.x ticket.
