We have over 1000+ biblio publications. We want to allow our Drupal users to map Biblio author ID to Drupal user ID. Currently Drupal users can already do this using the "Link My Profile with this Author from the Biblio database" setting in their profile.

However one big issue is that for some users there exist multiple variations of author names in the publications. For example Linus Benedict Torvalds will be listed as "L. B. Torvalds" in one publication, but "Torvalds, L." in another publication.

Is there any way to allow Drupal users to map their user ID to multiple Biblio author IDs?

You need some web admins with the permission to admin biblio and visit this page

/admin/config/content/biblio/author

I think it would be by design not to allow non-admins to admin these strings.
