The blog.module outputs the author name in its breadcrumbs and also in a link at the bottom of the page e.g. 'John Smith's blog'.

This does not currently work with the realname module i.e. these links will not show the real name, because the blog module sends a node object to format_username() and not a user account object, which in turn means that the account is not loaded and realname doesn't kick in.

I've posted a bug report in Drupal core about it - #2781975: Blog sending incorrect argument to format_username - where you can find a patch to the blog module that fixes the problem.

There's nothing for you to do here - I just thought it worth posting the issue so that others can find the fix.
