Hello,

I am obviously 2 things here. Brand new, and not a programmer. So I'm not in Kansas anymore. I'm hoping for some advice to help get a project off the ground. A person on my team wants to learn Drupal and then build a simple e-commerce website for a client. This team member is proficient in WordPress and gets around pretty well in HTML/CSS and some Java. We have another Drupal expert in the organization, but attached to a different team, so there are some limited resources available on site. But before we greenlight this, I'd love to have a baseline, (and I realize I'm asking for a guess) what range of hours/days/weeks/months should it take someone to learn the language and the tools to build a first, simple site? (This project is supposed to be a learning/teaching project, so we're assuming it will go slowly at first.)

everyone learns at a different rate. I suggest asking your already existing Drupal expert.
