D7, WAMP 3, MS Windows Server 2012 R2
Installed WAMP and configured server, migrated SQL, can see 'local host' WAMP page, but can't resolve getting site online and public. Referred to this post which was helpful: drupal.org/node/547860

I don't understand using Apache vhosts AND drupal together. What is correct path for DocumentRoot in httpd-vhost.conf? c:/wamp/www/defaults/sites/ ?

As I understand, the SQL database name can be anything, and name/password should appear in settings.php used by Drupal in /site/default.

I've 'hosts' to include my static IP and site name for live site.

Any help, advice, things to check all very much appreciated. I've been at this for days. Thanks

Maybe this will help someone else, although it's a super stupid overlooked issue.

You must not only give Window firewall access to port 80 (which I did), but allow it to use Apache also.
