Several developer invest their time and efforts for creating/developing and contributing lots of useful theme and modules. Drupal.org can't ignore to commits while creating contributed modules and themes. Please also add credits to module and theme project contributors.

apadernoThat is not true: Credits go to the users who contribute patches, or fix problems with a project in any way. The users who get credited for their contributions will have a similar note on their user profile.
As a matter of fact, that is what I read in my user profile, and those 3 fixed issues are for Drupal core for which I am not a maintainer.
Project maintainers decide to which users go the credit. It's not that credits are only for project maintainers.

Currently credits algorithm work on only issues, patches but not for commits made while creating module and/or theme. Please see attached screenshot for the reference.
