The well-established Icon API project (which works with Font Awesome and other font icon providers) already supports block icons.

Does this project bring something new to the table?

Hello inteja again :)

I came up with this module because I searched a lot in many projects I worked on, for something so simple that can alter my block, adds an icon with some control with it, guess didn't find Icon API project or didn't search enough .. that's it.

so I didn't know find something similar as simple as that .. so I decided to do it for this particular purpose.

otherwise you are completely right I'd love to join forces .. this is what Drupal community are :)
