hy guys,
i have been searching for a theme that would suit to that of a soccer prediction website and modules that can provide football statistical information just as what we see on soccer prediction sites like soccervista , unogoal etc. i will be grateful if i can get help from you guys and make my statistics and prediction website a dream come through. i came across this soccer statistics theme but when i tried to install it, i got this reply "soccer-5.x-1.x-dev.tar.gz does not contain any .info files."

you cannot utilize themes or modules written for Drupal 5 on any of the current versions of Drupal (currently 7 and 8). Any theme can be a soccer theme. However, the project you are seeking to work on will require some heavy lifting on your part. You will find some singular modules to help along the way, but you certainly won't find a one stop shop. You will also likely require some custom code.

thanks for your concern, i have searched and am still searching for a drupal 7 module that can help bring up football statistics. i came across one called league site but it doesnt have any 7.0 release. is there a way i that i can still be able to use it either by stepping down to drupal 5 or otherwise?

D5 is unbelievably inferior to 7 and 8. It's also insecure and unsupported. No one is developing for it any more.

I've followed the sport league efforts for a while, and all usually fizzle out. Likely because you can just assemble it from drupal and contributed modules directly so it's not worth the overhead of managing it as a module or distro.

That said, there does appear to be a decent maintained option for d7: https://www.drupal.org/project/league.
