Hi, the module is great but it would be even better if JW Player could be used as a formatter. I don't know if this should be a feature request for this module or JW Player.
I'm fairly new to D8, and don't know how hard would it be to do this.

Is there a chance to have JW Player support ?

This module is design to be a simple way to embed videos from external providers. From what I understand you can't just load an externally hosted video to play in JW Player.

So it looks like this is possible. I would say this could live in another module as I don't think it's a popular enough feature to live in the core. Perhaps a video_embed_jwplayer module? You could swap out the YouTube provider plugin and instead of returning the youtube iframe, you could swap it for the required JW player code.

I can leave this open as a feature request, but any patches will need to be developed as their own module.

For reference, I created https://www.drupal.org/project/video_embed_jwplayer that currently handles remote videos only.
