Call to undefined method stdClass::initialize()

I am trying to add a rotating banner to my website but I keep getting the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::initialize() in C:\xampp\htdocs\scoilrinceuibhriain\sites\all\modules\rotating_banner\rotating_banner.classes.inc on line 279
