Hi,

Function bootstrap_process_book_navigation() is defined in file book-navigation.vars.php
It's a process function : shouldn't a preprocess function be used here instead?
It seems preprocess functions are used everywhere else.

It appears this update solved the following nasty, longstanding core bug for us when using Bootstrap with the book module: #1697570: _menu_load_objects() is not always called when building menu trees. Not sure if that was your problem too or this was just cleanup, but either way, thanks for the fix!
