I sort of like the current layout of Drupal.Org - at least as a baseline. Where/how would I determine/download:
a. the current theme being used for Drupal.org (including any site-specific tweaks)
b. the configuration/admin settings for the site?

Drupal.org is using the Xtemplate theme that is part of the standard distribution. No special modifications were made. See "administration > site configuration > themes".

But still, what modules does drupal.org have enabled? Or other nifty configuration settings that only very advanced users can appreciate?

Did you do something to make the forums show up without alternating colors? I like the look with only the 'container' rows being dark and all of the forum rows being the same light color. I just got Drupal working last night and was hoping to get my forums to look like the ones here.
