I would like to expand this issue to fix the documentation of this further:
- The description section of the doc block is not very readable. It has some grammar issues, or wording order issues, and needs clarification.
- The first line should start with a verb ending in S (third-person).
- The docs for the parameter are also a bit grammatically confused about identifier vs. identifiers
- Looking at the function code, apparently it takes additional arguments. So there should be:

@param ...

followed by a description of what these arguments are. I have no idea. This will require some research, and until that is done, I don't think this is a Novice issue or a quick fix.
