On install I was never able to get the flag images to populate. Dropdown works as well as translation. I have the most recent version and installed this into my system yesterday.

Could you elaborate more on your issue. I tried using the GTranslate module version 7.x-1.13 with Drupal 7.43 and was able to get the flag images to populate.

Unable to reproduce.

Bugs are fixed in the development snapshots (the releases created from branches).

I'm having the same issue, for both languages that I have enabled the flag is "blank.png".
Version 1.14 Drupal 7.78.
